Right now & for at least the past couple weeks, the basic prices for a
Treo 650 thru Sprint pCs has been $449 (not factoring any rebates available
to new subscribers, etc).
I'd like to get a 650, but haven't had my current phone for 18 months so
don't qualify for the $150 rebate, etc.
The 650 has been out since around December, and amazingly, seems to have
the same quality-control & bug track record as the Treo 600, so I would
expect that Palm/Sprint would drop the price a little, like they always do
with phones after they've been on the market for a while.
Any inside knowledge or educated guesses as to when this may happen?

Didn't happen for the Treo 600, until the 650 came out. So, your only
hope is to wait for a Treo 700 or some other later model to be released,
and for Sprint to want to dump their stock of old 650's before you see a
price drop.
