Network security key wont it work for new windows 8 laptop

Network security key wont it work for new windows 8 laptop but works on old hp, xbox, wi, and ipad fine. Please help! I want to use my new computer with sound!!
I know it works fine at other locations, so it isn't the new laptop that can't connect....

Make sure that you are using the same settings e.g. WPA2/AES on your new laptop as your other items.

Tried that. No luck. I entered it all manually to be sure....

There may be a typo in your security key, so change the security key on the router to something different and see if it works. If it does, then change it back to the original key if you want, while being careful to type all characters correctly.
