But all my cables are ok. after about 5 minutes it
reconnects and all is well for about 10 minutes and then
I get the message again and my network disconnects with
the same message again. Can anybody help?
Thanks, John

Check the cable is plugged properly -- sometimes it does
not get fully inserted.
Also try connecting the cable to a different port on the
router, or with a different cable.

I had this problem; it appears that it was a problem with the dongle on the
laptop.
The wireless connection is much smoother, but much slower too.
I've ordered a new ethernet card; hopefully this will fix it.
