I am playing this great old game (computer version) and I have manual but
one thing I can't find. It is obvious that Axis invasion on Britain have
effects on USSR and US entry to war but I can't find any explanations about
that. Rules says that US can declare war to Axis and BRP are added to Allied
total in summer 1942 and USSR can declare war to Axis and BRP are added to
Allied total in fall 1941 but in my first game I had axis 4-5 armor in UK
and USSR declared war much later and in my second game I tried invasion on
UK but failed and US declared war on Axis in spring 1942 ?

It's not because they can declare war earlier that they must do so.

Which I thought was the earliest date - declare war in the spring turn,
brp's are counted for initiative purposes starting in the summer turn.

@HR : where are you when a question as this is raised ? Is it too
simple for you :)

Uhh..yeah..here I am:)

Invading England has no bearing on the USSR entry into the war. USSR enters
war fall 41 I believe, IF she even wants too.

Similarly Invading England has no bearing on US entry.

US entry is Spring 42. It's really a bug or at odds with the board game. It
works but produces a variation of 3R. There is a program written by a 3R
player called 3R gold that can fix most of the major BRP bugs and in effect
by doing so the USA can be programmed to enter SUMMER 42 as she should.

England is on her own until the USA comes in. USSR is of no value to ENG.
Other than neither country can afford to be kicked out of the war.

Knew I could count on you :)

One last thing : 3RPC crashes when playing the AI and you conquer
France & UK before the USA or USSR declare war - in essence the AI
opponent is running out of countries to play with.

3R gold should be found here.

Any problem let me know.

You really don't need it if you're not hard core or playing PBEM'
It's a must for PBEM to get as close to the original game as possible.
