Hello everyone,
I am kinda new to this form and to this setup so any input is appriciated.

I should get my Linksys WRT54GS router today in the mail. I have cable internet.

I am trying to use a unix machine running CenOS server to use as the DHCP server for my small network (total less then 10 machines).
This server has one NIC.
I also want wireless internet service to be available through the Linksys WRT54GS, so I am going to use it as an AP.

Now my question is, how do I connect these so that I can have internet on the server and then also have wireless internet?

This is how my physical setup is going to be.

Coaxial cable connecting to Cable modem and wall.
Ethernet cable from Cable modem to Router (WAN? or LAN?)
Ethernet cable from Router (WAN?? or LAN???) to Unix server DHCP.

Is this setup possible at all?

Basically I just want my router to act like a switch on one of the ports that is connected to the Cable Modem and just hand packets over to the Server.
And I also need the Linksys WRT54GS to work as a wireless AP.
