Track at half speed. It'll sharpen the attack considerably.
Tuning the guitar up a little also might help.

2 Cents worth from Dave, I'm not a musician but, you didn't say what kind of
guitar, acoustic or electric, but a harpsichord has steel strings that are
plucked by jacks connected to the keyboard; when they pluck the string they
remain in slight contact with it to produce that faint buzzy sound. So you
might try steel finger picks and let them touch the strings while playing or
Ferranti and Tauscher SP used to put large pieces of sheet metal in their
grand pianos to give the effect. You might try a piece of music wire
touching the strings at right angles to the string between where you pick
and the bottom bridge. Let me know if it works ? ? ?

Along with the other suggestions you should try this brown pedal made by
Boss....I think it's an octave or harmonizer effect. It's great for reggae
cause it gives that harpsichord sound....kind of a boi-oi-oing sound.
