hi
i´m looking for an old still working reslo ribbon mic for a reasonable
price. i try to buy this mic from an "expert" because the connectors
on the mic are not up to date as far as i´m informed and it´s kinda
tricky to plug them into a mic pre amp (xlr) with a decent result
(noise). so maybe there is someone out there willing to sell a reslo
mic and who knows how to get this mic working properly. at least
that´s what i dreamed last night... please help a guy tumbling through
wonderland.
If Reslo is a low Z ribbon, say 30 ohms, you'll also need a mini step-up
xformer to raise its o/p to 200 ohm or about 1:2.5 ratio. Most equipment
i/ps nowadays accept mics stipulated from 150 to 500 ohms.
Beyer Dynamic used to sell these in a mumetal can with threaded bush and
locknut + free coloured wires.
