The ads seem to be touting the mics for broadcast voice. Have you tried
them on vocals?

PR-40.

Bear in mind that both reviews are written from the perspective of an
amateur radio operator since Heil has, up until now, been marketing mics
primarily for that audience. However, it is my understanding that the PR40
works especially well on vocals as well as drums.

I remember a book he wrote about sound reinforcement. I have it somewhere.
