I was just checking *4 today when it reached the part in the msg where it
normally says I have unlimited data but it gave me a listing instead. Now
it appears to report my usage as having 0MBs. It even lists me as having
used all of my allotment and even going over my allotment of "0"MBs by a
few KBs (viewed some pages on the phone a day ago). I have had unlimited
vision since it came out and I'm wondering if this has shown up on anyone
else's usage information.

I haven't used *4 in forever. Just tried it, and I received the same
results. I too have unlimited vision, so I'm guessing that they need to
tweak their programming a touch ...

YIKES! I just called *4.

"Your data plan includes ZERO megabytes. You have used all of your
avaiable megabytes and have exceeded the plan amount by 21 Megabytes and
9 kilobytes." (That's when happens when you have a Treo 650. :) )

Just called *2 (30 second wait time, take that, Phillipe). They do
verify that I have the Vision plan on my account, and that I'm not being
billed for usage. Apparently this is just an indicator that they're
more accurately tracking usage now, and that the actual usage can be
accessed by us end users as well as SPCS reps.

I agree though that the whole zero megabyte thing is confusing.

It shows on my *4 that I was exceeding my data usage, also.. I called SPCS
and they were confused on the subject as well as I was. They made a note
on my account if I was charged for extra Vision usage that I would get it
credited. I looked at my bill for last month, and it shows NO additional
usage for vision on my account.. So, it's either a glitch or it is a way
to show actual usage of vision, even on unlimited vision packs..

Very confusing for me.... but, as long as I didn't get charged for usage,
it's cool...

I just called and got the message about having zero bytes on my plan,
but it didn't mention anything about exceeding that "limit" at all. I
should note I have used Vision on my phone (Sanyo 8200) almost daily.
But this month I have not used my phone as a modem at all.

I wonder if this is the beginning of the end of the "don't ask, don't
tell" quasi-policy on using your phone as a modem?

It might be. When I called, the CS rep noted that at 20MB, I used
"quite a bit" of data, but I reminded her that I'm using a treo 650.
And truthfully, it was all legitimate PDA usage... I subscribe to
AvantGo and have an 8MB acount, and I do sync with it over the cell
network from time to time.
