Will COTA be available for download, or are we stuck with waiting for a
jolly copy-protected CD?

Oh, yeah, they are. Not very well, but some of them are protected.
HTTR and KORSUN POCKET are just two examples.

The latest patch for Korsun Pocket removes the CD check routines I
believe.

Cheers Chris

But the original disk is still copy-protected. Same with HTTR.

It's nice that we no longer need to schlep the disk around to play, but
you still need a (minimalist) cracking program to strip off the
(Safedisc?) protection and backup the original disk.

What is COTA, if I might ask?

I am not sure why you would need to backup the original disk at all,
considering that the latest patch effectively turns the original disk
into a backup disk.

Cheers Chris

Oops - my bad - with the latest patch for both games you don't need the
original cd anymore, but you're correct in saying that the original cd
is copy-protected ... sort of ...
