Maxtor Diamond Max 80 Gig

Hi all,
I bought a 80g Maxtor Diamond Max 7 months ago and since 2 month, sometimes he stop turning and i hear the sound when he stop. I have another 80g of the same kind that doesn't do this?? Is he broke?? I got them two on a Maxtor Pci Ultra Ata 133 Card!!! Plz answer me if you know that problem!!

If your HD stops turning when the system is still running, then most probably it's broken. Your Maxtor is still under warranty, right?
