Firefox usage up, IE usage down - report

OneStat.com, an Amsterdam-based web research firm, says global use of the Firefox browser has increased 1.14 percent since May 2006, while Internet Explorer usage fell 2.12 percent during the same time. Microsoft's Internet Explorer still holds the top spot with 83.05% of the market versus the 12.93% of Firefox. Regional market share show similar numbers except for Australia and Germany which have much higher Firefox usage. Read more

JVC and NICT develop 8MP robotic vision system

JVC has partnered up with Japan's National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NIICT) to develop a newer and more compact robotic imaging system. An eight megapixel color sensor acts as the core of a new system that JVC says is, "close to the limit of the human vision". The sensor is 1/18 the weight and 1/19 the size of a previous sensor developed by JVC. Read more

I have unlimited vision on my plan, but according to today's bill, I was
charged 42 cents for vision usage.

I'm surely not going to complain about 42 cents, but I'm very curious
about the charge. There's no explanation for it.

I've had a couple screwups like that during the times I've had the unlimited
Vision plan. Call and they'll fix it for you.
