Here in Victoria, BC, enjoying the good life in the Empress Hotel.

Zip. Nada. Not a damn thing. Endless searching.

The GF's Cingular GSM is roaming on Rogers. I've go a paperweight.

The airport in Vancouver was the same, too.

Sorry it didn't work for you, Chris. It worked for my wife when she was
there in 2003. I just used Google Groups Advanced Search for this
newsgroup and found lots of Vancouver reports - some good, some bad,
most recent is a successful one from Dec. 2004.

That's odd you would think there would be a roaming partner there. I
don't think the PRL verison would matter as long as it's not too old.

Assuming your phone was set to automatic roaming, then you should roam on
Telus Mobility.

Some Sprint phones are 1900 Mhz only, which may also limit roaming
capability. Telus is definitely digital but I do not know if they are
850/1900 or both.
