Did you have your phone set to automatic roaming?

Duh. I had it turned on, too. And my shirt buttoned and my
shoelaces tied, without my mommy having to help.

But can you walk, chew gum, and rub your tummy at the same time? :-)

I guess it didn't work for Chris Pisarra. It worked for my wife when
she was there in 2003. I just used Google Groups Advanced Search for
this newsgroup and found lots of Vancouver reports - some good, some
bad, most recent is a successful one from Dec. 2004.

Sprint accounts are normally provisioned to work in Canada out of the
box. Since you've already indicated that you've set roaming to
automatic, I'm not sure what the problem is. I live on the Canadian
border and can tell you that Sprint works fine in Canada.

By the way, you used to be able to call customer service and buy a $10
bucket of roaming minutes that works in Canada. The bucket brought
your per minute rate down to US$0.25 a minute.

My Sprint subscription is data only so I don't use it very much for
phone services.

No, but you can pick any two of the above and I can handle it.
