Never buy an FIC AD11 motherboard! It is a lemon.

It was causing random reboots and crashes.

I replaced it with an Asus A7V266-E Motherboard with all of the same system parts and it works great now.

U must've gotten a messed up one or something. Have been running an AD11 w/ a 1.2Ghz T-Bird since February 2001. No probs, and I often leave my comp on for weeks at a time.

Sig of the week.

My son's friend had a bad FD11 also. I will never buy another FIC piece of junk motherboard. I have purchased 2 Asus motherboards since and both have worked just fine.

Same here, just sold my old AD-11 to my parents with an Oc'ed Thunderbird 1Ghz (1500Mhz now). Works like a charm on a 300 watt enlight PSU.

Really? I had very good opinion on Socket 7 FICs - they were great. If this is true, too bad for FIC! Times are changing...

Had good and bad experience with FIC AD11. My first board's ps/2 slots went bad within six months. No problem though FIC helped me to RMA it rght away via email help...they responded quickly to each and everyone of my emails...believe me I am a worry wort...so I emailed a few times...and they responded with no problem...I have been using the replacement AD11 for approx. 6 mnths or more...not a single problem.........formats easy...only complaint is the usb version...seems it only supports 1.0 or 1.1 devices.......thats ok though......usb still works with speakers and scanner.....just no cam...I feel confident with the board and FICs support...and the price for the mobo was very cheap...mine was $79 and I built one for my sister that only cost 50 dollars...sorry but you probably just got unlucky

Yeah, this is one stable, really rock solid board. I was one of the first people to get it and boy am I happy (other option was an Ali Magik). Planning on getting a second.

Absolutely...very stable...look at newegg.com...see how many people purchased it just at that site...look by reviews...fic used the 761 amd north bridge with via southbridge...works very well together...sometimes some manufacturers don't get the big attention at these forums...even though a lot of folks chose their products and are happy with them...another one I am interested in is the shuttle ak35gt2...have you heard anything?
