Front-Panel Firewire

Thinking of putting together a new machine and I really want to have front-mounted firewire ports. I've selected a case that has front ports available, but a motherboard that does not have on-board firewire.

My question: do firewire cards support front-mounted ports? They all look like they only have connectors attatched to the back of the card. Does anyone know how to make this work?

There are some card with connect for front panel Firewire.

Yeah, there are some cards like <A HREF="http://www.buyaib.com/firpcito3por.html" target="_new">this one here</A> that have connector onboard which allows you to connect a cable to the front port of a case.

also some SOUND cards have fire wire ports (located conviniently on the front)

also these sound cards also have the ability to be connected to the front port of the case (i belive, but don't quote me on that)
