I have recently acquired a few high end servers (spec's below) and am looking to make use of them. I'm interested in getting into the game server market. I was hoping there would be someone out there interested in setting up some high end game servers to make a little money. I'm completely unfamiliar with the gaming server arena. I'm sure these systems could easily do a great job & bring in some nice cash. I have already scouted a hosting co-location facility & would be able to get ample bandwidth. I really just need a partner that is heavy into the gaming community & is very familiar with configurations of game servers. It would also be nice to have great contacts to get heavy use of the systems from the get go. The hardware is as follows: HP Proliant DL380 G3 - 2 x 2.8ghz Xeon P4 - 3gb PC2100 ECC REG Ram - HP Smart Array 5312 Controller w/ 128mb Cache - Dual Power Supplies - Dual onboard gigabit ethernet - 2 x 36gb U320 SCSI in RAID 1 (for now) - 2 x 72gb U320 SCSI in RAID 1 (for now) HP Proliant DL360 G3 - 2 x 2.4ghz / 533fsb Xeon P4 - 1gb PC2100 ECC REG Ram - HP Smart Array 5i Plus Controller w/ 64mb Cache - Dual Power Supplies - Dual Onboard Gigabit Ethernet - 2 x 36gb U320 SCSI in RAID 1 (for now) I am also in the process of acquiring a 500gb - 1 TB external array system that can be run off one of the servers. I'm not sure if game hosting requires much space but I thought i'd mention it. We do have the option of using a new tape library for backups if necessary too. Please email me @ clittle_hosting@comcast.net I want to put these systems to use as soon as possible so I can begin making some money. Thanks, Chris
