Custom built computer.Brand new case w/350w power supply.Installed motherboard,memory,cpu & fan.Connected the monitor and the computer.Plug in.Both fans(power supply and CPU start.Note that no other cable is connected(no cables going to the front jumper from the switch button).There is
no switch in the back.This is an ATX power

supply.Removed mobo from case(checking for ground).Same
thing happens.Fans still start.In checking on the Internet,a tech told me to
do the battery trick(remove it for 1o min to clear the
BIOS).I did.When I replaced the battery and connected all the cables going to the front panel jumper(PW,RE,Speaker...)
the computer would not start.What did I do wrong?

If the fans (and if they're connected drives) still start but your motherboard does nothing check if your CPU is placed correctly or if the jumper settings are right.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on :eek:
