I am using logic and reason and I have one midi input channel
available on my s/card. I have no problems with the two apps in
isolation receiving midi inut and I have managed to synch the two apps
together very easily. My questions are :
1. Can I record midi when running in reqire slave mode in reason?
2. Can I control reason from my logic midi input, ie: can I route my
midi output from logic to the midi in of reason, so that when I play
back my master (logic) I can trigger off the sounds from the various
samplers in reason to use that sound ? the app reason in isolation
works great, (midi works, low latency) as does logic, trouble is for
example , I want to use the piano sound of the reason sampler to add
some piano to an existing logic track audio track, but when reason is
running in slave mode it recieves no midi input as logic is using the
channel. Therefore, I can only add piano when logic is not running,
therefore, I have no audio to play back to !
This would mean that when I record, I will need to use artificial
sounds for recording, then import the midi file in to reason and
trigger the piano sound, (this is a real pain in the ars£, cannot work
like that)

other than purchasing another midi interface that wil recieve signals
on another channel, is this possible ?

as always, all help MUCH appreciated
