Is registry optimizer a virus?

Recently this program popped up and said my registry is infected clled registry optimizer and asks me to buy the program. how do i get rid of it. i got avast free. superantispyware free, and malwaire bytes free. if u tell me to scan with one of them, tell me shall i do quick, full, and shall i do it in normal mode or safe mode. im confused when i should use normal, when shall i use safe.

check that there an add/remove in windows program..if there is use it then boot into safe mode and run malware and anti virus scan.

You're infuckted. Good luck clearing it. Booting in Safe Mode and using MSCONFIG and REGEDIT to look for and delete malicious Startup entries may or may not help. In Safe Mode, run SFC /SCANNOW from a command prompt; hopefully Windows will be able to repair itself. Any scans you run should be Full scans.
