I want to use windows media player as a upnp server for my home LAN. Adding files (video, music, pictures, etc.) seems pretty easy, however when I connect to the upnp server with my media player (Micca EP350 G2 1080p Network Digital Media Player with 7.1 HD-Audio, Fast LAN, 3.5" SATA Bay) the media is only sorted by the big library catagories (music, video, pictures, Recorded TV, etc.)
Is there a way to create my own library catagories so that I get a better organization for watching stuff on my player? I would love to have a Movies and a TV shows specific library group.
I have found hundreds of web sites talking about how to add media to the windows media player, but none about how to organize it when using the Upnp aspect of WMP.
I am running windows 7 x64 home premium on my computer with the media files.
Would I be better off runing windows home server? Would this allow for Upnp media server?
