help with DDR400 choice...

Can anyone tell me whats the difference in DDR400 PC3200 if it has XMS or CL2 verses not having either? Because there seems to be quite a difference in price within the same brand if is has XMS or CL2. Seeing the new mobos support DCDDR should i get 2x256mb DDR400 instead of 1x512mb DDR400.

For the difference between XMS and CL2, look at ALL the memory timings, the XMS is probably just a hair better. As for the dual/single DIMM question, it really depends on what you want to do: If you want to run it at Dual Channel now, get two 256MB modules. If you want to wait for Dual Channel, get one 512MB module now and another later, and end up with twice as much memory when you upgrade.
