ENH700EXT

Ok, Now Here's my problem. I have recently acquired 5 modules of EngeniusTechs ENH700EXT Dual Concurrent Outdoor APs.
The point was to have one setup at the base station and the rest go into other corners of the campus.
The base station will use the 5GHz Freq for backhaul while all 5 AP's will use 2.5GHz to create a canopy over the entire campus.
The problem that I have faced is, when I connect the Base station AP in my room to my network it works perfectly fine all my wifi equipment connects beautifully, the moment I mount it ouside on the rooftop , I get random connects and disconnects

Here's a bit of the log that I can post for references:

But the problem still lies as is.
I have tried the few variations with antennas, power etc etc and frequencies but to no avail.
If someone does have an idea I'd be willing to give it a try and it'd be .......... helpful.

Basically what the log is saying is that there is a topology change in the network.
There must be something different in the external setup than the setup you have in your dorm.
Check your network setup again, there must be something wrong.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I don't have enough details..

I am having a similar problem. I have an ENH700EXT which back hauls over the 5ghz and connects to four bridges. I will have a good connection for about 30min then it drops to all Bridges. If I restart the ENH700EXT everything comes back online. I was having this probelm before the ENH700EXT was put in place. I was using another Engenius AP. I think the problem is coming from multipath. These devices are all outdoor in a manufacturing environment with large metal buildings all around. I have tried lowering the signal strength and distance but have not found the sweet spot yet. I am also going to try changing the security. I am currently using WPA-PSK TKIP. If you found a solution or have any ideas please let me know, I am very tired of messing with this.

Right now..... I have my links setup with 5.8GHz MIMO Sectoral Antennas, 120 Degrees in each direction, using 2 x three way splitters. I must be in one of the most congested and interference filled areas here but have still managed to setup links in all 4 corners of the town, the distance between the center and these links is 4.5Kms....
gives me a 6.5MBps link between the Base station and the WDS Stations on 5.8GHz.

Not having problems with disassociation and connection drops. signal strength is about 75dBm....

I ran into a similar issue with a school campus environment, the issue i found out what that the security, local school, and janitorial radio system repeaters were in the center of my connection broadcasting at about 50W. Once i reoriented the backbone connection to go around this. The system has yet to disconnect on me. Been up and running for a little over 6 months with no issues. (knock on wood)
I did have to make some ip adjustments once the school changed network isp though. other than that just the 4 times a year maint of doing a field strength and connection tests is all i have had to do.

I have a similar configuration but am having a different issue with the wds bridging. My problem is that I have 1 private and 2 public SSIDs setup but not getting DHCP to come across the wds bridge to the 2.4GHz side if SSID vlan isolation is turned on. Of course, not much good having a public SSID if you don't want isolation, is there? If I am in range of the primary ENH700EXT that is directly connected to the dhcp router, then I DO get the appropriate dhcp for each SSID. If I try to get DHCP from any of my outbound ENH700EXT units connected via the 5GHz band usng WDS Bridging, then I cannot get an IP unless I turn off isolation upon which I get the base DHCP network.

Case is open with Engenious but it has already been escallated past L2 to Field and awaiting a response.

We had the same issue. The time had not been configured correctly. So people signed in with their time and were logged out shortly after due to the age of the connection being wrong.
