Why not? LiteOn is the best.

If you really don't want to buy LiteOn, then buy Samsung SM-348B

i've owned 1 lite-on cd-rw. at 1st it wouldn't work. i then tried a staples brand cd and it worked a few times so i thought that was the problem. i didn't didn't use my computer for about 2 months after that because of a medical problem and when i started to use my computer again the problem was back. so i finally tossed it out. it only burned 2 or 3 cd's out of about 25 or 30 i tried. since then i don't really trust lite-on at all. i'd rather pay more for a tdk or plextor than go thru that fustration again.

i finally moved my tdk burner out of my back-up machine. what i'm looking to do is replace the cd in my other machine w/a combo drive and then selling the machine.

It's impossible to make every product perfect. Almost everybody here has no problem with LiteOn CD-RW/DVD-ROM's and like them. We can blame only your bad luck.

BTW, TDK uses technology from LiteOn in their CD-RW's
