I haven't been around this group much in the last year as other things
have taken my interest and priority, however, now I am in the market for
a new phone and need to catch up.

It has been about 12 months since I bought a new phone. However, I have
only been moderately happy with my current phone, the Samsung A680.
Technically speaking, the phone has been great, however, the size is a
bit too small for my larger fingers to push the buttons. The case
[leather from Sprint PCS] does not fit well and it is always flipping
open when I bump something.

So, I am looking for a new phone. I will be adding a new line of
service for my daughter and will be doing a phone shuffle with me
getting the new phone ;-)

Features:
1. Decent web browser
2. Decent camera
3. SMS capable!
4. Decent battery performance
5. Good to great RF performance
6. Large enough for big fingers [6'3" tall and 220 pounnds ... get the
idea?].
7. Good build quality.
8. Flip preferred, but I might consider other options.

Can anybody suggest a phone? The Sanyo 7400 caught my eye, but it seems
pricey and perhaps over featured. I have been happy with Samsung's in
the past, but they have become a little small.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry I am unable to help you with the phone selection since I
personally just got the Samsung A740 recently and it is very small.

But I have a question regarding shuffling. I was thinking exactly along
those line when I upgraded recently , adding a new line of service for
my son. And since that is a new line, it is eligible for the instant
rebate. Mine being an upgrade would have to wait for the mail-in
rebate. According to the tele CSR, it is possible to swap phones (mom's
with kid's phone)but to do it only after 3 months. The store people ,
however, were more negative regarding the swap and discouraging it.

Any take on this? Since you can get the more expensive phone with the
instant rebate for the new line and a cheaper phone for the upgrade then
swap phones for the 2 lines.

If you want, just call them up and do an ESN swap. My plan is to simply
buy the phone at Costco if I can get it their. Move my plan to it.
Move my Wife's to my old phone and give my Wife's phone to my daughter
... putting a new line of service on that. I was told by the Sprint rep
at Costco that it was not a problem.

Anyone know which phones Costco is offering, or does it vary too
much from store to store. My nearest Costco is a 70-minute roundtrip.

Last time I was there, I believe the Sanyo 7400 was $279 before the $150
rebate.
