My phone (PM325) is DOA due to submersion in Lake Huron. Until I get a
replacement is it possible to access voicemail from other phones? If so how?
Many thanks,

Two ways. One is to dial, via landline or another cell phone, to your area
code, your exchange and MAIL - 6245. Plug in your phone number, then your
PIN and you should be good to go.

If that doesn't work, dial your cell phone number. When the voice prompt
comes on, hit *, then when asked, enter in your 4 digit PIN, and you should
be good to go.

I wouldn't suggest this. It doesn't work in all markets and in many cases is
probably a waste of time.

This always works.

That's why I posted both sets of directions ... as the first set does work
in my market ...

That works here in central Ohio. I was hoping that I might also be able to
use that method for leaving voice mail messages for Sprint-using friends,
without having to directly call their wireless phone. Ya know, for those
times when you wanna tell someone something, but you don't necessarily need
or want to talk to them. *laugh* Since you knew about that nifty little
trick, any chance you'd know how to do what I'm trying to do?

First off Robert, you need to work on snipping & editing posts. Those
comments above come from yours truly and not daniel cairns.

As for both of your inquiries, in most SPCS markets, you can do what you
asked above, by dialing 11 prior to dialing your friend's SPCS phone number.
IOW, you dial 12 digits instead of 10.

You can already do that by getting into your own phone's voicemail and
using... I think it's option 2 from the main menu.

By the way, someone mentioned that using PCS to PCS minutes when you use
1-1-areacode-number to dial your own phone. Having tried it, I can confirm
that if you do it with an account housed in Southern California, it does NOT
use PCS to PCS. My two test calls were billed peak, not PCS to PCS.

I'm a Verizon user... so that won't work for me. :-) Guess I should have
mentioned that in my original post... heh
