How to remotely control my two computers together

I primarily use two desktops for my work in my house. They both access the same Internet via ethernet cords, and they are always on. I often switch between the two desktops, which means I have I re-open all my programs.

I want both desktops to share everything they do(something I open on one computer opens remotely on the other).

How can this be done? I am open to any software(ie:both desktops also have Linux) or hardware suggestions that could make this possible.

  1. Hi :)

    You are kidding right ?

    Two screens, is the answer...

    All the best Brett :)
  2. the only way your going to do that is only running the programs on one and using remote desktop to connect to it. still sound extremely... odd...
  3. I would suggest getting a second monitor and using synergy to share one keyboard and mouse between the PCs.

No, the computers are in different parts of the house, so they cannot share monitors.
