Hi,
I'd just like to know the difference between the Float Buff and the Integer Buff;
What do they do and how are they a measure of performance.
I have searched all over the net and news groups with no clear answer.
I'd really appreciate an answer.

Thank you very much for your time.

Are you talking about a "Floating Point Buffer" and an "Integer Buffer?"

I am not a programer nor an EE. All I know is that they are both buffers used in manipulating data.

A cpu can use different formats of numerical data. Here is the ANSI/IEEE 754 Standard Floating Point Numbers Floating Point, Integer, and packed-decimal data types each have a unique ecoding that can represent an indefinate value.

Sorry that I cannot help much past this. Maybe someone else can chime in to help.
