I'm wondering what can be done to override the refresh rate limit in DirectX games. I tried putting the override value in the DirectX control panel, but my monitor says it's still running at 60Hz in 1280 x 1024 mode. My monitor is capable of 100Hz in this mode... and I have it running at 85Hz for my desktop.
System specs:
Athlon XP 1900+
512MB PC2100 DDR
ATi Radeon 8500
I know this issue has been addressed before, but mainly with nVidia cards.
Thanks!
Bah... played with it some more last night and it fixed itself... *smacks monitor*. Now getting an 85Hz refresh rate at 1024 x 768 in Dungeon Siege... happy that's it's finally working the way it should.
