I am replacing my SCSI raid array with an ATA raid (less noise from drives and fans...). I need to move the data. However, I have a feeling that my 340w PS will not be able to handle 6xSCSI + 6xIDE at the same time. So I want to use a second PS for the ATA drives. However, an ATX PS does not turn on if no motherboard is connected.

I know there is a way to bridge two connectors in order to cheat. The question is how? HELP!!!

use a paper clip to bridge any ground and one of the wires. I am not totally sure which wire sinces its been awhile since I've done this but I think it should be a green wire about 4 wires in.

Specs:
ASUS A7N8X dlx
Athlon XP 2000+
512mb Corsair PC3500
ATI 9500 pro
Antec Trueblue 480 psu

This post is already answered (it was a double post)... and it is indeed the green wire which you have to connect with the black ground next to it.

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole
