College LCD

I am considering buying a new LCD to take to college. I have a CRT but would like to take an LCD for obvious space consideratoins. I am not a heavy gamer, but would like the ability to play UT 2k4 without ghosting.

I have seen mixed reviews on Dell's 2001FP, but I like the size and price. I have also looked at Samsung's 172X and havn't found any real downsides after some research. People claim to play first person shooters just fine on the 172X.

Although it is 17 inches, I was hoping to get a 19 or 20 inch LCD. Does anyone know if there are any 19 or 20 inch LCD's that are comparable to the 172X?

ehhh....so...you are not a heavy gamer but want a LCD to play UT2K4 with no ghosting....
IMO, a LCD that can handle UT2K4 with no ghosting can handle any game out there

(it's not if you are a heavy gamer or not.....it is the game you play)

lol, well good point. So it has to handle every game out there I suppose. Any comments on the 172X or other suggestions?
