That's great. Now we have more choice of dual-format DVD burners than before. I think dual-format burners is the trend of DVD recordable products.

yea, dual format is the way to go with DVD recorders. If I buy a DVD recordable drive, I will definately buy a dual format drive

But do we really need dual formats?

Both formats seem to be just as compatible as the other. I think we need faster ones, not that 4x is slow but faster is cooler.

Of course, we need a multiformat drive. -R format is better than +R for write once job and +RW format is better than -RW for rewriting job.
