Can't find any around here (NYC) to fiddle with, but I'm told they've
started to dribble in. While I wait for them to show up here can
anyone who's kicked one around give any impressions? Obviously the
clips are on the site, but I'm curious if anyone has put it one a tune
and sat it in the mix.

Hey, that's funny. I just finished traipsing around downtown looking
for one. Didn't make it up to 48th St, but the doofus in the 14th St
GC never even heard of it. I looked around and it wasn't there. I
couldn't bear to ask another salesguy. I think it may be mostly an
online item and not distributed to music or audio stores, judging by
the response (read: blank expressions) I've been getting.
B & H -claims- to have one there, but the last time I dragged my ass
all the way west for something there it turned out to be not the case.
Seems like a cool box to have. Wasn't nuts abount most of the demo
clips on the site. (The rotary was originally not going to be in it,
and the one online sounds like a standard flanger. That can't be the
rotary on the Adrenalinn, can it? Me loves a good rotary) But if it
has 2 amps that I'll like it'll be worth $260. The ones I don't like
won't count against it.
I took a peek on M-Audio's site, and as soon as I started reading the
description, it reminded me of the Roger Linn Adrenalinn. Then I read
further and saw "Co-developed by M-Audio and Roger Linn Design." So that's
basically what it is.

Well, naturally I know - what - it is. : ) . I was asking about any
pleasing/unpleasing time spent with it.
Plus, as in the case of several Junior versions of older, more expensive
units from the same designer that don't succeed in recreating the vibe
of the latter, I try not to base purchase decisions on press releases.

I'm not sure when they started advertising it, but
I've encountered the same thing- Seeing something
cool in Guitar Player mag and then looking for it
instantly. Then I realized that having a subscription
I get the mag sev. weeks prior to the month indicated
on the cover so the advertisers are probably sync'ing
product release with the when the mag is intended for
the newsstand.
But yes, the clips on m-audio website sound cool. I have
a v-amp2 on backorder at MF, and I may cancel it.
The BB price is reasonable for what is offered, but I don't
know if I need all the recording features. I'm also thinking
about that Fender g-dec champ modeler thingy reviewed in
the May issue of GP (one with Joe Perry OTC). Of course, it's
not May yet.....
Well, I've now had mine for a week and I'm not knocked out at all.
I'm spending a lot of time trying to dig the models and I just don't.
Maybe if you want 10 flavors of exploding digital beat synced wailing
it could be for you, but as a vaguely diverse pallette of sounds (not
talking about more than $250 worth, just 2 great, usable clean sounds
and 2 great crunch ones) I'm disappointed. I've always been a big
Roger Linn fan, but this one's strictly for the Epiphone/Peavy crowd.
Well, my nephew will be happy when his birthday rolls around.

BTW, I have never, ever, in all my years of working with every Mac
audio software out there, come across a more horrible and useless piece
of garbage than the bundled Live Lite 4 Guitar. I sat here with 3
other ProTools engineers trying to make it do what we wanted it to and
after 4 hours of our faces turning blue and purple just threw it out.
