I had the Sanyo 5300 and used as a modem when I stayed in a dinky
hotel without other net connections,
I got the Sanyo MM-5600 and I am reading that it can't be done. That
Sprint has done something to prevent it.
Does anyone knwo the full story?
Is there a Hack?

No, I admit, *except* that it isn't Sprint that did it. It's Sanyo.
Perhaps at Sprint's urging, but it's still Sanyo that did it.

A thing moderately good
is not so good as it ought to be.
Moderation in temper is always a virtue,
but moderation in principle is always a vice.
