Win xp os hard drive connected externally to win 7

Hello,
I have attached my older 100 Gig SATA HD, Win XP into an External enclosure, I am the admin
why are my files are under lockdown when opening it in win 7
I have tried permissions?

  1. what do you mean they are under lockdown? did you encrypt the drive somehow with truecrypt or bitlocker?
  2. No, no encryption routines, however I suspect but not certain that Norton may prevent me seeing the files because of past Malware activity on that drive?
    One other fact is that other loggers in that drive can access their files, but not the admin?
