Hmm - I'm trying to setup a GPRS connection on a Treo 180 but keep getting
error 0x400B when the handset attempts to connect to the network.

Can't find the answer anywhere on PalmOne's site. Does anyone here have any
idea what it means ?

(X-posted to uk.comp.sys.palmtops, comp.sys.palmtops.pilot. Follow-up set to
uk.comp.sys.palmtops)

Now that's interesting - I'm trying to connect to Virgin UK and get the
0x400b (which noone - not even PalmOne seems to know the meaning of). the
Sim works fine in another handset. If only I could decipher the error, I
reckon it would, at least, help us understand what the problem is.

As it stands, if I manually set an IP address on the Treo, it errors. If I
leave the IP address as dynamic, it connect (and I can see the IPCP,LCP and
PAP negotiations in the log file followed by Ip address, gateway address
and DNS being delivered) but refuses to transfer any data - even DNS
fails.

My suspicion is that there's something a little odd going on in the IP
stack, but I can't quite pin it down.

I'm on 1.1.2 ....nuff said.

P.S. - I've re-X-posted this to comp.sys.palmtops.pilot because I know
there's a least one Handspring support guy reads that group.
Followups are still set to uk.comp.sys.palmtops.
