A friemd of mine had a case for his Atari Falcon. With this setup the
motherboard was removed from the old Atari case and put into a 2 rack
space unit with fans, and knock outs for all the ports and switches.

Does anyone know if there are such cases for old Apple motheboards? I
think i remember readiing about them or seeing them somewhere, but that
was back in teh Nubus days. Anyone remember the name of the company
that made them?

thanks

Thanks for the link.

Looks like an expensive proposition though; to spend $400 for a case
for an $20 computer. I just had this vision when i saw an 8100/80
motherboard on ebay with no case.

From the prices it looks like i'm better off leaving it in the case
and getting a rack shelf.

Wish i had the reason to buy the G-5 rackmounts, well oneday.

If you are inclined to do some work yourself, you could buy a PC
rackmount case, and then create your own mask for the connectors. You
can find some project (for tower cases) on:

I recently found some cases similar to those on sale from Marathon, but
at a much lower price. However, never tried to do the surgery.

Bye,
Paolo
