I've got a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel (analog), that I've always connected via a standard joystick/gameport, usually on a soundcard. Problem: I've now moved to a 2.0 GHz P4 and the soundcard doesn't have a gameport. I've bought an adapter that allows me to connect a standard 4 axis joystick through a USB port (i.e a gameport to USB convertor) and this works fine for ordinary joysticks but Windows doesn't recognize my Sidewinder FF wheel. Using Windows 2000 + SP2.
Short of purchasing an alternative sound card featuring a gameport, can anybody suggest a way of getting my analog gameport Sidewinder to work over USB?
