Is anyone aware of the existance of notebooks with scsi hard drives? ( internal)
And why haven't they been manifactured yet?
Whats the point of a "workstation replacement" notebook,
loaded with 1-2gb of ram, high speed cpus when the drives
rotate at7200 at best, and in most cases at 5400 or even 4600rpm?
the only "mobile" solution I know of is max visions maxpack, but far from notebook..

Well, because SCSI drives spin on average at 10000rpm, which would simply produce too much heat for a notebook to handle.

also, IDE hard drives are almost on par with SCSI when it comes to performance, and they are slightly more simple and thus easier to implement.
