Can be seen there. It only has 512MB of ram. I don't need a large screen becuase it has a Radeon Express 200m so I can plug in my 20.1" LCD into that. I just want to be sure I can upgrade to a GB stick of ram. Anybody know anything about the board inside these babies? How many slots it has available for mem? Or if I can even get inside of it to add the mem. modules? I am looking at the MT-28 at costco for under $1,000. Seems like a great price. I just need someone to answer my memory upgrading question. It's very important becuase I mess around with sound recording, and load big images up on photoshop, and have been known to play a few demanding games every now and again. Thanks :-)

We have an Averatec 3250 at work and there's no easy ram access - the whole bottom would have to come off on ours. I'm inclined to think there's only 1 RAM slot but don't know. That's ok with us (512m is fine for office apps on the road) but its not for everyone. Don't know for certain that it's the same across the lines, but it's likely.

I like the Averatec, it's fast enough and cheap enough, etc., and seems like a decent build otherwise.

Mike.

If there is only one ram slot, could I just replace the 512MB stick with a 1GB?
