I just got a Lucid 9624 AD converter. If I run the Lucid S/PDIF out
into my PC echo Mia card S/PDIF in is the sound data being degraded at
all by the Mia card or is the Mia just providing an direct input to my
hard drive. TIA -------LB

As long as you're not doing any resampling or reclocking on the way in
(both of which are unlikely) the Mia will just be a conduit that will do
no harm. Just make sure whatever software you're using to record is set
to the same sample rate as the Lucid, and tell the Mia to use the S/PDIF
port as its clock source.
