Sound driver free download for window xp

it depends on the hardware on your laptop/desktop. there really isnt the best universal one because different motherboards pick different vendors

what is your mother board model or your laptop model or at least what is your CPU or when did you buy your PC so at least i have a chance to guess

The best way to download drivers specified for your motherboard, is to head to the manufacturing website and search for you motherboard. Then from there you can download all drivers specific to the motherboard. rather than downloading "Ball-Park" drivers that may/may not do you any good.
