Dxdiag 9.0a, sound testing, step #20 failed, have the latest drivers already... any suggestions ???

the ones to fail are;

Mono 8 bit 22khz from hardware buffer
Stereo 8 bit 22khz from hardware buffer
Mono 16 bit 22khz from hardware buffer
Stereo 16 bit 22khz from hardware buffer
(these are the last 4 tests)

'DirectSound test results: Failure at step 20 (User verification of hardware): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)' this same message for all four...' any notions ???

I'm curious about the 22khz....

Seems like there is a sampling error on the sound card, that it can't upsample the audio correctly at lower frequencies.

I'll do a wee bit of research on the problem.
