Hi all,
Basic setup:
1 linux box setup as router/firewall, 1 lan card connected to cable modem, other to hub
2 98 boxes and 1 2k box, all connected to hub and all working 100% fine
BUT
I wanted to setup and ftp server on windows last night for a friend to upload some bits and pieces that were too large to mail, I tried a few ftp programs but to no avail, I could connect LOCALLY 192.168.0.x no probs, but couldnt connect to my external IP, I forwarded ports 20 and 21 to the ip of the box running the ftp server- but it wont work, I dont see WHY it wont work though, I used exactly the same method as I did for telnet (port 23) and that works fine, has anyone any suggestions?
