connection troubles in win xp pro

everytime i try to open the connection window in windows xp pro it never opens. well it does but like 2 minutes later. is there anyway to fix it?

have you been able to connect to the internet when it does finaly open? is it some strange dial up isp your uaing that uses it's own dialer. right click the icon, select properties then post the details here, do NOT include tel numbers or passwords.

Although it has a lot of good ideas, beer doesn't know anything about computers!!!
