Windows stops typing

Alright, i don't really know how to describe this well, but when I'm typing or playing a game or doing anything really, windows sort of acts as if i clicked off screen and brings me out of games when I'm playing. This happens every two minutes and me nor my friend have any idea how to fix this as we cant even describe it very well.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

start with a virus scan...then malwarebytes.

Doing that now, will update on how it goes.
Edit: I ran a full system scan with malwarebytes and my anti virus (avast!), nothings wrong at all, any other ideas?

programs that popup alerts will do this. think antivirus popups, deal site monitors, anything that wants to alert you, etc. whatever is doing it probably down in the list of stuff by the clock.

I only just got this pc a few days ago, so what should i do to check if this is the problem?
