P4G8X Deluxe not finding SATA HDD

I just picked up a Seagate SATA HD and installed it as the only HD in my system. My P4G8X Deluxe motherboard is not finding the drive. The drive utility that came with the drive finds the drive with no problems. I am running the 1005 BIOS.

Has anyone experienced this, and if so, any information on how to get this fixed? Thanks.

Hi,
Pls make sure you enable "Onboard Ata Device" in the bios.
It will be in the "PCI configuration" page under "Advanced" menu in bios. Just find it.

I'm also using P4G8X Deluxe with bios version 1005.
I just disabled that feature, because i'm not using any SATA device and everytime i boot, it keeps looking for the device.

If you love something set it free, if it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it !!!
