I have an MSI NFORCE2 K7N2 mobo and after i installed the original drivers i couldnt find the soundstorm logo so i downloaded the reference drivers from NVIDIA and still NO SOUNDSTORM at my control panel ....WTF!!!!!
Someone HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wel I don't have MSI, but if you have the K7N2-L, it doesn't have the nForce2 APU. So basically you should use the Realtek ALC650 driver but not the SoundStorm driver, but I'm just guessing.
It is morally wrong to allow suckers to keep their money

My motherboard is the Gigabyte 7N400-L1. It has the Realtek 6.1 chip on it. I installed the driver off the disk provided with the motherboard, and no 'Soundstorm' Control Panel appears. Nor is there an icon on the task bar to launch soundstorm, as descibed in the motherboard book. After the installation and discovering the problem, I had a look around my Program Files directory where I had told the thing to install, and I found the Soundstorm .exe file. (I dont' recall it's exact name). When I ran it I got an error that said something like "Unable to initialize ....".
I have now installed the Realtek reference drivers but I am not sure they are working right as I can't get my microphone to work.
I want the nforce drivers and and Soundstorm control panel installed!
