Have installed Cossacks v1.15 and for some reason when I
try to play it I get a message saying that the cd needs to
be in the drive. It IS in the drive.
I know this can be a problem with the UK version and CDV
have released a patch to fix it but when I installed this
patch it made no difference.
So I went to the dark side and installed a no cd patch.
Mmmmm....The game worked but it had no Internet option in
the multiplayer menu.....not just unselectible but missing.
I've un-installed and re-installed the game without the
patch and tried to update to 1.30, but the update can't
even find the game installed.
Now my question....
I think "something" is running around messing with my
registry. My Anti-virus, Spybot and Adaware 6 have all
failed to find it so I was wondering if it is possible to
reset the registry (XP Pro) and what this will mean to my
installed software.

I know you shouldn't talk about NO cd patches and the like
on here but I thought it was important to mention it and
you can probably guess I won't be doing THAT again.
