I upgraded to a T|E from my trusty old (now dead) Palm V a few weeks ago and
everything seemed to be running fine until I decided to play with the Photo
app. The Photo app works fine and I can successfully add, edit, delete
photos both on the desktop and on my T|E however on exiting the Palm desktop
if I have opened the Photo app, I get an error message "palm.exe has
generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart
the program. An error log is being created." Palm knows about this error
(See KB Solution 23010 - note that the solution is for a Zire 71, not a
T|E) - solution #1 was to perform a hard reset of the T|E (now why would
THAT work? the error is on the desktop not the Palm). Solution #2 was to
upgrade to Desktop 4.1.4 -- well I just did that, successfully (knock on
wood) and I'm still getting the error.
I know one other user on the Brighthand forums has had the same problem with
no resolution. Has anyone here had this problem and how did you fix it or
do we just learn to live with it?
